Amigos de Guadalupe fulfills its mission by focusing on four strategies: Expansive Outreach (Alcance Comunitario), Trusted Information & Referral (Amigos de Confianza), Targeted Direct Services Program (Comunidad Fortalecida) and Case Management (Compañerismo). The Rapid Response Manager will be mostly focused on comunidad fortalecida and compañerismo .

Founded on the principles of justice and advocacy, Amigos de Guadalupe Center for Justice and Empowerment partners with the Si Se Puede Collective and local agencies to make social services more accessible to the Mayfair Community; to strengthen individuals and the community through education; and to address social inequities by creating strong leaders through community organizing.


Overview of Position: 

The Mobility Empowerment Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the Mobility Wallet Program, a Universal Basic Mobility pilot providing monthly fare subsidies to vulnerable and very low-income residents and their families. The Coordinator will conduct community engagement, recruit participants, manage intake and orientation, provide ongoing support, and collaborate with the evaluation team to collect and analyze data. 

Additionally, during the planning and design phase, the Coordinator will support the Director in establishing an advisory board comprised of community members and service agencies staff to determine program qualifications. They will also develop a community engagement strategy to ensure inclusive and effective outreach.
 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in creating an Advisory Board composed of community members, service agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discussions with the Advisory Board to determine participant qualifications and program structure.
  • Develop a community engagement strategy to ensure equitable access and participation in the Mobility Wallet Program.                                                                                            
  • Lead the implementation of the Mobility Wallet Program, ensuring all aspects run smoothly, while serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Work with community organizations, Promotoras, and outreach teams to recruit and enroll eligible participants and spread awareness of the program.
  • Conduct intake assessments to determine participant eligibility.
  • Facilitate Mobility Wallet orientation sessions to educate participants on how to use their funds, program guidelines, and requirements.                                                                                                                            
  • Conduct monthly or quarterly check-ins with participants to assess usage, address challenges, and provide ongoing support.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to preloaded debit cards, working with vendors and support teams to ensure funds are accessible.
  • Collaborate with the evaluation team to design and implement data collection strategies.
  • Administer surveys and interviews to assess the program’s effectiveness and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant engagement, transportation usage, and challenges.
  • Provide regular reports on program metrics, participant feedback, and recommended improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience in contract and program management
  • Familiarity with immigrant rights issues
  • Fluent in Spanish
